I injured my left ankle over 2 years ago. I was eventually told; after 4 doctors and many bills; that what I had was a shephard's fracture. The bone was taken out and I have felt some releif. However, I still have a lot of pain on the inside of my foot as well as on both sides while walking. It still gives out on me when I do too much in a short period of time. And if I go to more than one store during any given day I'm not able to walk for the next day or so. To make matters worse I recently had a second surgery on the same foot to repair a torn ligament. that was on the outside of the foot. If i twist my foot I have pains on the inside of the foot just above the heel as well as on the outside of the foot just below the round bone that sticks out.
I was told that nothing more could be done to help me and that I should wear a brace and boots at all times. However, I've found that the brace just weakens my ankle and don't want that to happen.
I can't exercise because it will aggrevate the ankle.
Is there anything else that can be done?
