I have a small bunionette that's gotten quite red and inflamed...I can hardly walk it hurts on the bottom underneath the bunionette. I had cortisone put in 3 months ago and that kind of helped. I also have cuboid problems and have had my foot taped up for 3 months and everything has been okay...I took the tape off for 10 days and now everything is hurting again. The bunionette is really inflamed and the cuboid is really hurting.
Are the two things related? Is there any cure for either of these things. I also have lymphadema in that foot, so any kind of inflammation flares up my lymphadema. Not great.
The foot doc is working with orthotics, but no luck after 3 months. I tried an ankle brace, but didn't help. I thought maybe I had tendon damage, but the foot doc barely touched my foot and said, no I couldn't have a damaged tendon.
I was walking 4 hours a day, now my foot is so inflamed and it's re-taped, but that's not helping.
Could it be physio taped my foot when the cuboid was out of place ...Physio told me that it wouldn't matter if the cuboid was in or out of place when he taped it.
I also wear compression stockings for the lymphadema and have been trying to stretch out the toe part that covers the bunionette so there's not a lot of pressure.
Any thing else I should be doing?
