Re: I'm so worried (I want to know if this is painful)

: Hi, this allen osorio, I am so worried for this problem, I have an Ingrown toenail, I know you are the unique person who can help me. My big problem is I'm panic for the pain, I'm not going to the doctor for that reason. I don't like the pain and I want to know if its painful, I know the doctors use anesthesia but I want to know if this aplicaton of anesthesic is painful. I'm sorry for this kind of questions. I hope your help. Sincerelly... allen osorio. Oh, may you give me the e-mail addres of the person who write for you ( Ingrown nail sugery - healing and staying in shape) I wanna do any questions to him/her.

Allen,

Everyone has different perceptions of pain. Is the procedure painless???? NO. There is discomfort. A very small needle is used to place the anesthestic under the skin. The sensation is similar to an ant bite. The slower the medication is put in the better off you are because the sensory nerves can get numb. After surgery, pain is minimal...especially if your toenail has been hurting prior to surgery. Most people say that it feels better the next day after the surgery. They also laugh that they waited so long to have it done. Good luck to you, Misti
