Re: Pain on top and left side of left foot; no treatment works!!!! what could it be?

Your doctor has certainly run all the right tests. It is difficult for me to guess what else this could be without an examination, but if the pain is in the area of the cuboid bone which is on the lateral side of the foot between the heel and the 5th metatarsal bone, then it may have subluxed. Some podiatrist and some chiropractors know how to manipulate this. It is not so easy if it has been out of alignment for a while. Sometimes an injection to calm down the inflammation is needed. Temporarily you might try taping the side of your foot from the middle of the arch on the bottom to the middle of the arch on the top, coming up on the outside (lateral) side of the foot. This might help cinch the cuboid bone in place. By the way if the cuboid is subluxed, it will be nearly impossible to tell on an X ray.

Try either a podiatrist or a chiropractor and ask if they know how to pop a cuboid. ANd let me know if I was right

Good luck
