Re: walking toddler

: I have a 12 month old and would like to know at this stage if it is important for her to have shoes on while she is trying her first steps.

Wendy, barefoot is best when learning to walk, especially inside the house. By having the bare foot to the floor, the toes learn to grip and therefore increasing balance.

Outside, definitely put on shoes for protection.

Good luck on this very fun journey!
