Foot Pain

I have pain on the inside of my left foot above my arch where it curves. I can only walk for about 15 mintues before the pain becomes too bad and I have to rest it. The pain also appears when I am not walking, sitting or lying down, as a sharp pain and then goes away. I have had this for several months now and it is beginning to affect my lifestyle.

At first I thought it might be plantar fascitis, but I don't have any pain in my heal. I went for physical therapy and had my foot taped up, which felt better. I then obtained a soft lift that attaches to my foot with velcro, which helped at first, but now bothers it more than not wearing it. I also have bought various over-the-counter Dr. Scholl shoe inserts. Some help a bit, but nothing really relieves it.

Can anyone tell me what the problem might be and the cure. Thanks
