After posting here twice I had my ingrown toenails taken care of surgically by my podiatrist. He cut a small sliver of the nail off, and then used phenol to kill the root. Just wanted to let anybody out there who is nervous about it to know that it is really not a big deal! I had a lot of swelling for the first day afterwards, which made walking difficult and somewhat painful, but by the second day I was fine. Just made my first trip back to the gym last night (1 week after) and they felt great.
Just wanted to let y'all know! Whatever you have to pay, it is worth it!
