Upon taking x-rays, he determined that there was no broken bones. Since then, I have noticed that I can put some weight on the left foot but I have to be careful not to pivot off of the outer toe( i.e. when I am going up and down stairs) Is it possible that there could be a ligament or tendon problem? These would not show up on an x-ray very well. I notice that the little toe has more play to it than before. By that I mean that I can use my fingers to move it from side to side much more than I could have before the accident. The pain that I do feel is when I stand up on the balls of my toes to reach something down off of the shelf for example. I will then feel a moderately sharp pain from the underside of the little toe in my left foot. What could this be, and what remedies can I use to help it heal?
