I am 31 now, at age 12 i fractured the matatarsal bone on the outside of my foot. I had no idea how i did it, it just happened, after 2 weeks not knowing i had a brake i went to the er, it was broken, nothing could be done now as healing had started. As a child for many years I loved wearing dr scholls sandals, i was wearing them that day. I was at the beach in the ocean bare foot when the fracture occurred just walking knee deep in sand and water, didnt step on anything, twist or anything. I had never worn dr scholls again out of coincidence. I purchased a pair about 2 weeks ago and when i wear them i feel pressure on that bone and on occasion it has cracked liked cracking your knuckles. I wonder if the dr scholls are what caused the break in my foot?
