Re: foot pains

I was wondering about the fascitis, that is what my doctor said he didn't give a better explanation to me, but it is a tendon on the left side of my left heel and then across my foot. My doctor had said once that it was tighter than a bowstring and that was causing all of my foot pain. Can you please explain to me what causes this and what are my options to cure it. I am in a cast now and he said that if it wasn't better in two weeks that I would have surgery. I don't want the surgery if there is another way to fix the problem. Thank you.
