SWOLLEN FOOT.

Hi:

I have had a swollen foot, with a black sore spot, the size of a coin on my ankle, for the past 2 weeks. It did not come about by insect bite, fracture, or any physical injury. This is not ring-worm.
I saw my doctor who just prescribed gen. keeflex (500 mg) tabs. to be taking for 10 days and that if the swelling still persist I should come back and see him.

Should'nt the Doctor have done some x'ray and other blood test to check for other related or emerging disease, etc? My Doc. practices Internal Med. (HMO)

Thanks.
