I started a walking routine of 3-1/2 miles a day, 6 days a week. I have been walking for 5 weeks now and the blisters have not stopped. I had thought that my feet just needed to be toughened up, but after 5 weeks I grudgingly admit that just maybe my wife is right anf I need new walking shoes. The blisters are on each foot around the base of the big toe. The tender area just seems to migrate around the area. I have been using moleskin and one area will seem to improve and another adjacent area will start to form a blister. My question is 2 parts:
1. Is there a particular brand or type of shoe/sneeker that you would recommend that would alleviate the pressure or friction on the effected area of my feet?
2. Once I have the new shoes, should I stop the walking for a day or two to let my feet heal?

Thanks, Pat
