: I was diagnosed as diabetic about a month ago and I have had problems with my feet leading up to and after diagnosis of diabetes. I have the following symptoms:-
: In the morning or after a long rest my right foot hurts for the first few minutes and it feels numb just under my big toe. At various time through the day I get a tingling sensation across the top of my right foot, this lasts up to about half an hour and is uncomfortable but not painful.
: However in the evening and through the night I quite often find that both my feet feel like they are on fire even though they are not hot to the touch. It even wakes me up through the night and often is accompanied by the tingling across the top of my right foot.
: The question is why is this happening, If it is due to my Diabeties has any nerve damage been done and when can I expect any relief.
