mortons neuroma

i h ave been diagnosied with mortons neuroma. have them in both feet, but one is more severe. when this first occurred i was given cortisone injection but no relief, also tried orthotics they hurt more. i began wearing sneakers. my neuroma according to the mri is quite large- 6 centemeters. for a while it was ok then the pain began again and i am afraid to try the injection since it didn't help and hurt more. i am too fearful of surgery so i am at my wits end. i also read about the surgery being only 65 % successful and the rest have moer problems then before. can you please advise me, and if orthopediac doctors are the right ones for this condition, or a regular podattrist? thank yuou. gloria murray
