Well

Well...I've had five shots in my feet with the alcohol into the neuromas. I was veyr leary about this diagnosis. Neurologists carry such weight, I couldn't believe that the podiatrist was right. But, after the shots....and they, in affect, kill the nerve at the point of swelling, I no longer have the zaps. I still have slight problems wearing dress shoes with hard soles, but with tennis shoes, I just have the crumpled sock feeling. I will most likely have that the rest of my life since I am killing that nerve with the injections. It is less invasive that a surgical removal of the two neuromas. But, if after two more injections, I still am uncomfortable in dress shoes, that is an option. I through away my neurontin and I just take an occasional ibruprofen. I guess I can live with crumpled socks the rest of my life.
