While it is possible to get a Lisfranc's dislocation/fracture at any age, I think a pediatric orthopedist would be a very good resource. I can not comment specifically about this situation . As much help that the Internet provides, I find that sometimes people can get misinformation and confusion.
You should really discuss your concerns with the doctor. Ask about her using crutches to help off load some pressure.
