metatarsel fractures

I fractured my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th metatarsels in April in a snowboarding accident. I had surgery to correct the 2nd and 3rd, which were displaced. Wires were inserted into my foot- one protruding from the bottom of my 2nd toe and the 2nd (non-protruding) extended through the length of my 3rd toe. After the wires were removed in June, I had 10 physical therapy sessions which helped to gain some flexibility back in my foot and toes- but as I was moving, I had to stop going. Currently, I have stiffness & pain in my arch and a little in my ankle upon getting up in the morning or after being stationary for a long period. My left big toe doesn't seem to be as flexible as the right. My 3rd toe does not bend on it's own at all, seems hard on the bottom, and bigger than the right side. Is there anything I can do on my own to alleviate these problems? If I don't do more physical therapy, will I have problems later in life?
