plantar faciitis and achilles tendonitis s/p ankle reconstruction

I had a lateral ankle reconstruction in June for 2 torn ligaments. I had an ATFL grafted and my CFL reconstructed. My surgery is considered a success and I am in the process of rehab. I developed what seemed to be an ordinary complication but is now getting worse and worse. I have developed achilles tendonitis as soon as I was started on weight bearing exercises in PT in now shoes and an ankle brace. I do about 4-5 miles of recumbent bike, treadmill and cross trainer in PT twice a week, plus all the stretches. I went for a hike on very flat terraine it took me 6.5 hours to do 6 miles and my feet have been aching ever since. I am usually able to do 8 miles in that amount of time on much steeper terraine. I get releif when I sit down but if I sit too long my first few steps are unbearable to the point I just want to scream. My feet hurt from the base of my heel to mid arch. I already wear custom made orthotics that a very new. I wear good athletic shoes. I am getting ready to head back to a job that demands my feet as I have recovered from my surgery. Unfortunately after a hour of standing I am limping because of pain and the option to sit isn't always there in my job. What else can be done to hasten the recovery and at least make me feel better about walking then I do now?
