Re: Toenails curling inward

: For the past year my toenails have been curling inward on both sides causing pain like an ingrown nail. They no longer have a normal width. I have difficulty wearing closed shoes. Could this be due to a fungus or a condition from my diabetes? Pls help!

After researching, I found out that it may possibly be Onychomycosis and could somewhat be due to diabetes. It is a fungus and diabetics are very prone bc of bad circulation to their extremities. The nails look yellow in color, thicker than normal and might begin to deform.
This fungus is said to be very difficult to cure taking months of treatment with topical and/or oral medicines. I thought my toenails were slightly yellow bc I always wore nail polish but when their edges began to curl inward and thicken, then I knew something was wrong.
Atleast now I know there's a treatment before they get worse and cause me serious complications.
I hope I brought some useful info for those who believe you may have this problem.
Good luck to you.

This slip-on device is a soft and stretchable Nylon/Lycra® fabric molded with a proprietary gel pad to protect the entire Achilles tendon of the foot by absorbing pressure and friction resulted from rubbing with the surface of the shoe.
