sore ankle, lump on bottom of foot

Hi

I have a sore ankle, worse some days than others, worse in the morning and at night.. increasing in painfulness. The pain has increased over the last 2 weeks or so..

I have also had a lump on the sole of my foot, on the edge of the pad of the heel, under the arch.

Any ideas on if these are related? (I'm guessing they are because of the timeframes) and what it could be?
