is this a broken toe? someone help please!

hi, I skateboard a lot (3 hours a day) and it puts a lot of preassure on certain parts of me. Anyway about a year ago I fell over pretty hard on some concrete and it really messed with my big toe, but i did nothing at the time, and for about a year there were very few problems. Anyway about 4 weeks ago at a skatepark, my wheel hit a stone and I flew into a metal ledge, and the normally fine toe was really messed up this time. By 'messed up' I mean if I apply preassure to the right side (its the left toe) it hurts, and there is a slight bulge which is less soft than on the normal toe. Also, I can't bend it at all. In the 2 weeks after the skatepark incident I stupidly carried on skating, which was pretty painfull at times.
Anyway, 2 weeks ago from now I decided to stop skating and I've stayed indoors most of the time doing nothing physical at all. Like I said it won't bend at all without pain, and even the slightest preassure to a certain part of it (the side) is very painfull. I can walk fine, and I've even stepped back on my board a few times and doing smaller tricks doesnt seem to hurt, but there is this sort of bulge on the side, and if anything touches the bulge, it hurts a lot...can anyone help? is it broken?
cheers
