: I can't think of a reason why a sesamoid injury which is on the bottom of the 1st metatarsal would cause this. Where exactly is the spur and is it an osteochondroma? What did your doctor say?

The spur is on the top of the 1st metatarsal. The doctor didn't recommend surgery at this time due to age and open growth plates.
