Second Opinion??

Went to DPM about a week ago, I was having alot of pain in the ball of my right foot and burning in my 2nd toe...well they took an x-ray and he said I had 3 things going on...(oh..i am female 35 normal size weight) 1. bunion forming on big toe which is causing my 2nd toe to dislocate and move to the left..and also causing some nerve pressure...he gave me vioxx and gave me surgical tape to criss-cross around my 2nd toe to keep it straight..he also gave me a boot to wear for 10 days..to bring inflamation down..
I thought that you could visually see a bunion jutting out of the side of your foot...and why would this cause my 2nd toe to dislocate?? will my toe straighten out and it is still painful..hurts when I squat down or walk barefoot..its been a few weeks, I am thinking of switching MD's.
Does this happen often??
Whats the next step after this??
