My foot was crushed in late October 05' between a guard rail and my bike. At the moment I can put about 50 pounds weight bearing on my left foot. I am curious as to what I can do to increase movement in my toes and ankle. What exercises would I expected if I were to go to a physical therapist. I am anxious to get back on both feet asap.
To be more specific my injury was a fracture to the 1, 2 and 3 metatarsels. Dislocation of my 4 and 5 metatasel from my cubcid and latel, intermediate and medial cuneiforms. I'm not sure if my navicular was dislocated.
Also, the joints in my distal philanges are bent i presume from not being moved often. I tried bending my number 2 and 3 straight but they seem to be stuck and they hurt. I am only able to wiggle my toes back and forth but not curl them at all. The joints seem to be stiffened.
If anyone can provide any helpful exercises or methods to use as well as websites that may provide this information I'd greatly appreciate it.
