neuroma surgery

I had neuroma surgery abut 6 weeks ago. The Dr. made a small incision on top of my foot between the 3rd and 4th toe and on the bottom of my foot where he said he "tucked" the cut nerve behind some muscle so, hopefully, it wouldn't grow back again. I do have some numbness on the ball of my foot along with my 3rd toe. When I walk it feels like a "huge" ball right below the ball of my foot. The Dr. said this is scar tissue. I am going to physical therapy to get my toes "in working" order again. The Dr. and the physical therapist said that with some ultra sound and massage, some of this scar tissue would be broken up and I might not feel the sensation I am now feeling. My question is - can scar tissue really be "broken up" or should I just get used to this feeling on the bottom of my foot. It makes me walk with a little limp.

A layer of gel combined with a foot cover to help protect metatarsals and toes from friction and pressure. It also ideal for cushioning the ball of foot and provides warmth for people suffering from arthritis or poor circulation to the toes.
