Re: extensor digitorum brevis spasms

Hello MC,

Yes, I am having the same difficulty. I'm up late because it has just appeared again. Here I am searching out a cause.
It feels like the bones on the top of my foot are twisting and causing one toe to over lap another. I get scared that I won't be able to prevent it worsening the next time.
One could compare this to crippling arthritis.

: Does anyone have any experience with this? I am desperately looking for help. This is where the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th toe move involuntarily, most likely because of the tendon. Perhaps this is caused by a Morton's Neuroma surgery gone wrong. The tendon clenches and protrudes in spasms, and the 2nd toe sticks up and points to the right, sometimes overlapping and pushing the third toe down. If I try to correct this by putting a metatarsal pad on the ball of my foot, the strain shifts to the fourth toe (in exactly the spot of the Neuroma surgery), making the toe curl under, painfully, as if in a hammertoe position. When this happens, the tendon on the bottom of my foot is felt to be obviously pulling that fourth toe down. Does ANY of this sound famiiar? If so, PLEASE respond. Thanks!
