I am sorry you have Plantar Fibromatosis. The unfortunate thing that can happen has happened to you. Reoccurrence is frequent. Usually the entire fascial band must be removed. Afterward, one most likely will need an arch support.

As far as the diabetes goes, you would need to discuss with your internist whether or not you should proceed with this aggressive type of surgery.
