My Dr. says to simply soak it in warm water during the day and cover it with a band-aid(!) when I go out. THe problem is that I have to return to work. I don't want my nasty toe being visible, though I certainly can't wear regular shoes just yet. I don't want to put a band-aid on the nailbed surface(ouch!) I found a product called Foot-Aid. My Doctor has never heard of it and insists on warm-water soaks and band aids for my HUGE toe(I do have an abnormally large big toe). I ordered some and I think they're great. I'm not forced to limp as much, the exudate isn't getting all over the place, it's covered so it's not horribly sensitive to touch now. Is this product all that it seems cracked up to be? One thing I don't know about the healing of a wounded nailbed is how it is supposed to heal. Is it supposed to form a dry scab? When does the exuding stop? If I wear a dressing on it, will it heal properly? Help! Sam
