I can't really tell much about the fracture other than it appears to be on the 2nd metatarsal.

If this is a fairly simple stress fracture, then I am at a loss to explain why a young healthy active man with apparent good bone density is still having problems after this length of time.

At this point, I would want a MRI to see if there is anything we are missing.
