In order to answer your question better, an exam and evaluation would be needed. Custom orthotics can be helpful to control the pronation that can sometimes contribute to chondromalacia. There are other causes as well.

Custom orthotics are made by many practitoners. As a podiatrist, I feel we have the most training and understanding of the biomechanics of the feet.
