problems following removal of ingrown toenail

my 15 year old had an ingrown toenail removed from her big toe a week ago. The toe began to swell the next day. After complaining for 4 days the podiatrist put her on antibiotics (augmentin and duricef). The swelling seemed to improve, but is not totally gone. She still has intermittent throbbing and swelling. The swelling has also spread to the ball of the foot and she complains of tingling at the base of the middle three toes and shooting pain when she puts pressure on the ball of her foot. She is still not walking right. Her podiatrist is telling me to give it more time, but I'm getting worried. HELP!

Lined with soft fabric on both sides, this ~2mm thick SiliposŪ proprietary gel pad is an excellent cushion to help relieve the burning sensation and discomfort of the five metatarsal heads of the foot (the ball-of-foot) by protecting the ball of foot from repeated friction and abrasion with the shoes.
