Re: bunions

i had bunion surgery on may 29 2004 i have seen my podiatrist 1 week after surgery and he stated that i shouold start walk with the boot on short period a day and increase 1/2 hr every day. i am now experiancing numbness in my big toe and sweeling that becomes very painful. i thought when i went for consultation that 4 weeks was optimistic to start back to work i am confused please advise me on the proper rehabiltation on bunions surgery thank you
