Re: recovery from severed tendon

Since I can't examine your foot, I am speculating. As atendon heals, a tendon callus will form similar to the way a bone heals. After the inside remodels then gradually the outside "bump" will diminish.

A diagnostic ultrasound or MRI might be helpful to see what is going on.

I always tell my patients even after I have discharged them, if they have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to call the office.
