I had the surgery Sept. 30th, I see the Dr. tomorrow at 7 weeks. I'm supposed to be able to bear weight. No screws sticking out, just two screws internally that he hopes will stay in. The screws are on the top of the foot, holding the joint in the middle. Lots of swelling if it's down too long and the incision is a pain because it's on the top and everything rubs on it. Lots of nerve "waking up" pain. I have a big boot that I wear. I use crutches.

A silicone insert on the back of the Achillotrain leaves tendon pressure-free and provides intermittent compression for the reduction of swelling and edema.
