plantar faciitis

I have plantar faciitis(sp?) and thanks to a good podiatrist I am relatively symptom free. I use orthotics in my shoes. They work great in my work shoes, and a structured casual shoe, but when I want to wear a tennis shoe all day, like in the summer, my feet kill my by the end of the day. Is there a tennis shoe out there that has decent support without looking ridiculous? Even the New Balance shoes are supportive for only a couple weeks, then seem to break down.
