You pointed out that this is a waste of your time. I sometimes ask myself why I do this since you are correct, I do suggest that the individual get another opinion. Sometimes that is what people need- another viewpoint.

Treating people is not easy since there are many other factors involved in coming to a diagnosis. Most people who post do not take it into account. Almost always it is best to examine the patient and review all pertinent facts.

Try solving a crime without any information.

And by the way, I do not do this to promote my practice. Actually I have had 2 patients come in to my practice stating they saw this forum. If you count the thousands of posts I have responded to, that's not a very good return on my time.
I answer the questions I feel comfortable responding to when I have time. I receive no money or other compensation for doing this. People post from all over the world. If I have helped one person, then I am gratified.

I am sorry you feel that way.
