Corns - discoloration

I am an African-American who has used salycylic acid in the past to remove corns from the tops of my toes. I've also since worn more sensible shoes that are comfortable. However, my skin has been discolored (lightened) as a result of the salycylic acid. What can I do to restore the appearance?
