Re: Pain on top of right foot

It is possible you pinched some superficial sensory nerves on the top of your foot. This might have occurred from the laces being too tight and/or the tongue of the shoe not cushioning enough when running. Not wearing socks might also contribute to this type problem.

The what to do about it is tougher. Time is what I recommend. If the nerves are bruised, they should recover, but never as quickly as people expect.

For comfort you might consider adding extra padding to the tongue of the shoe, wearing thicker socks and rubbing an analgesic/sports cream on the top of the foot.

The Shin Splint Compression Wrap applies gentle pressure on soft tissue next to the tibia (shin bone), helping prevent additional tearing of the soft tissue away from the tibia. Compression not only reduces additional damage, it alleviates pain and enhances the healing process.
