weird foot problem

I often get what feels like a bug bite on my foot, usually on the sole of my foot, but sometimes I get it around the outside of my heel. It feels like a bug bite, but their is no bite. It's rarely even ever red, and it doesn't look swollen! However, they hurt really bad, like it hurts to walk. Today I woke up with one and by the time it was noon, it was gone. Then I realized another one was on the inside of my heel? I really have no idea what this could be, but it's been happening for a few years now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
