Fluid in the lateral semoid

What does it mean to have fluid in the lateral semoid? What causes this and what needs to be done to treat it? This showed up in an MRI I had 2 days ago and was told to follow up with my podiatrist but he won't see me. I need to know if this is something to worry about or not. Would going to an orthopedic doc be helpful or should I call my insurance and get a new podiatrist? I was also fitted for an aircast today, will that help with this? Thanks for your help.
