RSD diagnosis

I broke my foot the end of July. See posts below. I went to the Dr today. Dr stated I may have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. I looked on-line but everything I see refers to RSD in the hand and not the foot. My symptoms include swelling around ankle, extreme blood pooling when standing or sitting with foot hanging.. my foot turns red. Pain around ankle but not too much around the injury site unless you push on the bottom of my foot. Can RSD be dangerous? He recommended PT but said I may be fine without it. Any ideas?

A silicone insert on the back of the Achillotrain leaves tendon pressure-free and provides intermittent compression for the reduction of swelling and edema.
