I recommend you and your daughter write down your questions. You might do a Google search about Jones fractures. Unfortunately, there is a high rate of non-union due to the particular position of the circulation in this area.

It is possible that after a greater length of time that healing can occur. You should have a discussion with the doctor about the options. In the interim, I think you should do what the doctor has suggested-wait.

Malleoloc for lateral ankle instability. Designed to prevent inversion and eversion. Malleoloc does not restrict plantar and dorsiflexion. Excellent for sports use.
