What you are describing is Peripheral Neuropathy. Ther is much more information on many medical site than I can explain here. You might consider going to WebMD.com, Medscape.com, or even doing a search on Google for peripheral neuropathy.

Your doctor should have discussed this further with you. I always feel it is important that a patient understand their condition, so they can participate in their care.

You should write down your questions and schedule a visit with your doctor for further discusion.
