Since I have not examined you, I can't say for sure. But generally speaking, when someone writes with the level of concern you have, I see no problem getting another opinion.

Ask for the MRI's and the report. If you have a good recollection of your treatment, write it down, otherwise ask for copies of your records. It may take several days so don't show up and expect the staff to drop everything and do it. ALso you can not expect the originals.
Tell your doctor that you want to get another opinion.
