If she is roughly 6 weeks postop, then she should be able to do some walking. Perhaps 1 hour is too much for her. Everyone has their own tolerance. What matters most is to start somewhere and build on that. This is not a contest. Tell her that she is still healing and to treat the discomfort accordingly. It will probably take several more weeks to months to get over this completely, but don't lose hope.
