I have had both of my feet done... it's very painful to recover and you need to be aware that you will be unable to do much of anything for a long period of time... i don't recommend it. mine were very bad and could not find shoes wide enough - so it was inevitable - however - i have heard of chiro procedures to help with this alignment - check out every alternative before deciding on surgery. search the web for austin bunionectomy - you'll find pics as to what the procedure is - not saying this is what you'll have done - but you need to know that they do not "shave" your bone, they cut it - realign it - and screw it back together - do research!!! and goodluck!
