The first thing I would recommend is you see a podiatrist and get x-rayed. Then the doctor will discuss the options with you. There are many different types of bunion procedures. People also have different needs and wants and different tolerances of discomfort.

Generally speaking, while no surgeon can promise 100% successs 100% of the time, it would be inappropriate to perfom this surgery expecting it not to work.
