Jones fracture

I have had two Jones fractures in my left foot (two surgeries), and four in my right. I have had two surgeries on my right, the most recent in August where the doctor replaced the screw that was there (which was broken along with the bone), did bone graft from my heel, and did bilateral Strayer procedures on my achilles tendons. Less than two weeks after I was deemed healed, I stepped on the crease of a throw rug, turned my right foot completely to its side, and became symptomatic with sharp, localized pain similar to previous fracture pain. X-rays the next day didn't show a fractures (which I expected they wouldn't) and I am now in a boot for three weeks, and then will re-x-ray and see what things looks like then. I am in special shoes and inserts. My bone density is fine and I am not diabetic. What can be done to prevent this from happening again, or even to find the cause? Should we be looking at my ankles as part of the problem? I am very frustrated.
