Re: post surgery pain and swelling

i have been in close contact with both my surgeon and podiatrist and they tell me that i have to do physical therapy, keep my foot elevated for as much as i can and be patient cause it can take up to a year... are they counting from the scare revision or the original surgery??? they are pleased with the way it looks now, and i am suffering. my quality of life doesn't exist. i go to work (with special needs kids in an afternoon program) come home and fall into bed with my foot elevated above my nose!!! shoes are only a dream. epsom salt compresses helped a bit. my biggest problem is that i live in the southern arava desert on a kibbutz in the middle of nowhere and getting anything is difficult. thanks for your input

The Shin Splint Compression Wrap applies gentle pressure on soft tissue next to the tibia (shin bone), helping prevent additional tearing of the soft tissue away from the tibia. Compression not only reduces additional damage, it alleviates pain and enhances the healing process.
