Small bumps on bottom of foot

I have just started working as a police officer and have been on my feet a lot more than usual. Because of this I have developed some small bumps on my feet which have been getting more pronounced and painful in the past few days. I have three right now, one on my left foot on the ball area and two on my right in the arch area about 1 1/2 inches from each other. They look similar to a large pimple in the way they protrude and the white color. It's also painful to apply direct pressure to them with my finger, it feels as if I had splinters in them. Do you know what this is and if there an over-the-counter type thing would take care of this problem? My medical insurance doesn't kick in for another month so I can't go see anybody if at all possible. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you!
